The Clarion SBDC and the Northwest Commission have partnered to host the 2011 Entrepreneur Training Series. MacDonald Illig attorney Jonathan D'Silva will lead a discussion on trademark and patent law. The session will cover trademark law and basic concepts behind a good trademark versus a bad trademark. The procedures for registering a mark at the state, federal and international level will be discussed as well as how to protect marks. In addition, Mr. D'Silva will explain the basics of patents, their cost, and when it makes sense to patent a product.
