New Partners Announced



MacDonald Illig is pleased to announce that Matthew W. Fuchs and Marissa Savastana Watts have been named Partners with the Firm.  

Mr. Fuchs has been a practicing attorney for more than ten years.  He concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, insurance coverage and general insurance defense.  He graduated, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA.  He earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey School of Law.  Prior to joining MacDonald Illig, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Stephen Skillmen of the Superior Court of New Jersey.  Attorney Fuchs is a member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bars.  He currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for ArtsErie.

Ms. Watts has been a practicing attorney for the past nine years.  She is a member of the Firm's Litigation Department and is a trial lawyer with experience in a wide variety of litigation matters, including commercial disputes, employment discrimination claims, medical malpractice cases, insurance coverage issues and general insurance defense.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and English from James Madison University and earned her Juris Doctor from the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University.  Ms. Watts is an active member of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute and currently serves as Vice-President and General Counsel on the Board of Directors of the Erie Philharmonic.
