Attorney Mark Shaw Receives the Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser Award

Attorney Mark Shaw, Chairman of the Firm's Governmental Services Practice Group, was recently selected as the 2018 recipient of the Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser award. The Association of Fundraising Professionals Northwestern Pennsylvania Chapter presented this award to Atty. Shaw at the National Philanthropy Day luncheon on Thursday, November 15, 2018. Atty. Shaw was recognized for his work with Asbury Woods. He served on the Asbury Woods Partnership Board of Directors for seven years, acting as its Chairman for two years. He oversaw the transformation of the Partnership from solely a fundraising organization with no actual employees to a fully operational organization with over 10 employees. Mark also oversaw the acquisition of Asbury Woods from the Millcreek Township School District to the Partnership, preserving Asbury Woods for generations to come. Lastly, Mark served as the Capital Campaign Chairman for the Asbury Woods Preserve a Legacy Campaign, which raised nearly $5.3 million.
