Chairman of MacDonald Illig's Health Care Group Presents 'HIPAA and Social Networking'

Attorney Jim Antoun recently addressed a gathering of compliance officers from several regional health care providers and social service agencies on the topic of "HIPAA and Social Networking". In the presentation, which took place at the Barber National Institute in Erie, Mr. Antoun highlighed the legal vulnerabilities under HIPAA that can result from social networking, and he suggested steps that organizations can take to address legal concerns related to social networking.
