MacDonald, Illig, Jones & Britton LLP is seeking a full-time Paralegal to work in our busy Trusts & Estates Practice Group. Successful candidates must have the following:

• At least 3 years of experience working in a law office setting and a solid knowledge of the probate and estate planning processes including, but not limited to, filing probate documents, preparing and filing deeds, and assisting clients with the completion of trust and estate documents
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

You will be responsible for supporting attorneys in a specific practice area.  You will fill-in for other Legal Assistants when they are out of the office, working directly with their attorneys and paralegals. This position is unique, in that it exposes you to the Firm's many practice groups, staff, paralegals and attorneys.  Your assignment can change daily which leads to a very exciting position.

Requirements:

• Must be able to prioritize tasks with demanding deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work with a variety of people in different areas of law.
• One to two years of experience in a law firm or office environment as a legal assistant or administrative assistant is preferred. On the job training is provided.
• Candidates should have strong organizational skills and communication skills as well as the ability to work in a team environment.

As the Accounting Clerk, you will be providing support to the CFO and the Accounting and Billing staff in the facilitation of various accounting activities such as accounts payable and receivables.

Accounting Responsibilities:

• Assist with financial matters to include accounts receivable/payable, client invoicing, and client payments.
• Other duties supporting the work of the Accounting/Billing office as assigned such as data entry, filing, etc.

What we are looking for:

Some experience in accounting or a recent graduate with an accounting degree with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; willingness to adjust to updated technology as required. Also prefer some knowledge of, or experience working with, accounts payable/receivable.

Should be detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills and have the ability to multi-task. Should also have the ability to prioritize work, juggle multiple deadlines, and be able to interact effectively with Law Firm staff and attorneys.

Should also have an understanding and commitment to confidentiality, attention to detail, and be conscientious around financial and confidential materials and information.
