Bio
A charismatic and tenacious litigator, Mike is known by his clients for his undivided loyalty and his candid and conscientious counsel. His practice primarily includes a wide variety of insurance defense cases, professional liability defense, commercial/business litigation, municipal liability and defense of civil rights claims. Mike prides himself on taking time to understand his clients goals, providing meticulous investigation of claims, and working collaboratively with clients and colleagues to implement sound strategies for timely and efficient dispute resolution whether inside or outside of the courtroom.
An Erie native, Mike joined MacDonald Illig as a Partner in the Fall of 2023 from a nationally recognized insurance defense firm, Marshall Dennehey, P.C., where he was a shareholder. At Marshall Dennehey, Mike regularly appeared in federal and state courts throughout Pennsylvania gaining extensive experience in adversarial and alternative forms of civil dispute resolution. Prior to joining Marshall Dennehey, Mike served as Assistant District Attorney in the Erie County District Attorney's Office for four years where he obtained extensive trial experience, including high-profile homicide and felony drug and gun offenses. In this role, Mike earned a reputation as a pragmatic and zealous trial attorney.
