Nathan is an attorney at MacDonald Illig and a member of the firm’s Litigation and Labor & Employment Practice Groups. He represents clients in a range of civil litigation and employment-related matters, bringing a detail-oriented and client-focused approach to his work. Nathan is committed to understanding client concerns thoroughly and providing attentive legal guidance throughout the legal process.

Experience and Professional Background
Nathan earned his Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he was a member of the First Amendment Litigation Clinic. During his time in the clinic, he gained practical litigation experience, including arguing a case before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and participating in a matter that resulted in the reversal of a decision from the Eighth District Court of Appeals by the Ohio Supreme Court.
While participating in the clinic, Nathan received the Samuel Archie Award in recognition of excellence in client relations.
Before attending law school, Nathan earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Gannon University. He was also recognized with Dean’s List honors during his studies at both universities.
Military Service
Prior to law school, Nathan served in the United States Marine Corps as a Presidential Security Officer. During his military service, he received the Presidential Service Badge for his service to President Barack Obama and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for coordinating scheduling operations for the Marine One Helicopter Squadron during a highly active election season.

Before joining the firm as an associate, Nathan served as a Summer Associate with MacDonald Illig. As an Erie native, he is committed to serving clients and contributing to the local community.
