Bio

Josh is a dedicated attorney motivated by the opportunity to achieve results for his clients. He focuses on thoroughly understanding the legal issues facing his clients and applying his knowledge to accomplish the best possible outcomes. Josh is a member of MacDonald Illig's Business Transactions and Trust & Estates Practice groups.

Prior to law school, Josh attended Penn State Erie, the Behrend College, where he obtained dual Bachelor's degrees in Accounting and Finance. During his undergraduate studies, he spent a year and a half advocating for and researching financial literacy throughout Pennsylvania—particularly within the Erie community—helping to shape a foundation of financial insight that continues to inform his work today. Josh developed a sincere appreciation for Erie during this time, which inspired him to return upon graduation from law school.

He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University. While at Duquesne, Josh held membership in several student organizations and strengthened his legal writing and research skills through work involving business, compliance, and regulatory matters. In conjunction with his legal education, he gained valuable experience within the Global Securities Finance and Global Institutional Accounting departments of BNY Mellon, further enhancing his understanding of institutional accounting and global financial operations.

Josh is deeply committed to service. He devoted more than three and a half years to volunteering with the Christian Legal Aid of Pittsburgh, a nonprofit legal clinic providing support to those in need, and he now continues that work as a member of its board of directors.

Josh works to develop each client relationship with a foundation of clear communication and respect. He strives to empower clients to make confident decisions by providing clear and practical guidance.
