What happens if I do not have a Will?
The laws of the state in which you reside at your death will determine who receives your property and who is responsible for making final distributions. The laws of each state are designed to distribute your assets to your family based on your marital status, children, and other family members. While the distributions to your family as controlled by state law may come close to your wishes, it is always best to state your wishes in your Will rather than rely on state law.
