Attorney Mark Shaw Named 2022 Best Lawyers® "Lawyer of the Year" for Environmental Law in the Pittsburgh area.

The law firm of MacDonald, Illig, Jones & Britton, LLP is pleased to announce that attorney Mark J. Shaw was recently recognized by U.S. News & World Report Best Lawyers® as the 2022 "Lawyer of the Year" for Environmental Law.

Only a single lawyer in each practice area and designated metropolitan area is honored as the "Lawyer of the Year," making this accolade particularly significant.  These lawyers are selected based on particularly impressive voting averages received during the peer review assessments.

Attorney Shaw, formerly Chair of MacDonald Illig's Environmental Practice Group, is being recognized for his work in Environmental Law, and his practice includes assisting clients with compliance and permitting matters, guiding them through the Act 2 process and helping them navigate a myriad of other complex environmental issues that arise in their business, including assisting them with their environmental litigation needs.  Attorney Shaw is a 2-term member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Environmental and Energy Law Section Council.  Attorney Shaw also handles complex commercial litigation cases in the federal and state courts and serves as Solicitor of Millcreek Township. He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and Ohio.

In addition to the "Lawyer of the Year" award, Mark Shaw has been identified as a Best Lawyer by U.S. News & World Report in the areas of Environmental Law and Environmental Litigation.
