MacDonald Illig Partners Selected as 2011 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers
MacDonald Illig Jones & Britton LLP is pleased to announce that partners Roger H. Taft and Craig Murphey have been selected as 2011 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers. The Pennsylvania Super Lawyers designation is awarded to only the top 5% of all Pennsylvania attorneys following a selection process that includes peer nominations, an evaluation of professional achievement, and independent research of the candidates.
Mr. Taft is a principal trial lawyer at MacDonald Illig and co-chair of the firm’s Labor & Employment group. He concentrates his practice on employment litigation, including employment discrimination and wrongful discharge cases, and commercial litigation. In his litigation practice, Mr. Taft represents clients in federal and state courts throughout Pennsylvania, New York, and Ohio, as well as in federal courts throughout the United States. This marks the fifth consecutive year in which Mr. Taft has received the Pennsylvania Super Lawyer distinction.
Mr. Murphey is also a trial lawyer with MacDonald Illig, and chairs the firm's Insurance Practice Group. He does all manner of trial and appellate work, with a special emphasis on the areas of insurance coverage, insured defense and bad faith insurance litigation. He has successfully represented insurers in many cases that have helped shape Pennsylvania automobile insurance law. Mr. Murphey is currently President of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute.
