Are student athletes subject to Title IX investigations?

The procedures to investigate and adjudicate claims of sexual misconduct apply to all students, including athletes. If a complaint of sexual violence involves a student athlete, the school must follow its standard procedures for resolving sexual violence complaints. Such complaints must not be resolved solely by athletics department procedures.
